What an amazing experience! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The hospitality made us feel truly comfortable and appreciated. The food was absolutely outstanding — every course exceeded expectations. The starter was incredibly delicious, the main course was exceptional, and the dessert was simply perfect. Everything was prepared and presented at the highest level. The staff were attentive, professional, and made the whole evening even more enjoyable. And the wine selection was excellent. Highly recommended — we will definitely come back!

Really enjoyed our time here. The ambience was great and the staff were very friendly, especially the chef. When we entered the restaurant, we coincidentally bumped into the chef and he was really passionate about sharing about the specials for the day. The chef also goes to every table and ask how the food was and makes small conversation with the guests.

The braised beef starter was melt in your mouth good. We enjoyed the mains as well, the steak as well as the lemon sole.

No. 9 Market Square offers a masterclass in Donegal produce, starting with the Whipped Goats Cheese, which balances local honey and salt-baked beetroot within a crisp wonton tart, all brightened by a sharp pink grapefruit aioli.

For a richer opening, the Beef Short Rib is braised to melting tenderness and served alongside decadent Sperrin Cow cheddar mash and a savory bacon crumb.

Moving to the mains, the Hake is a testament to Greencastle freshness, celebrated for its flaky texture and seasonal accompaniments, while the Silver Hill Duck provides a more complex profile, featuring a perfectly pink roasted breast.

To conclude the meal, the Rich Chocolate Fondant offers a classic molten indulgence paired beautifully with local cherry ice cream and crunchy caramel peanuts. Alternatively, the signature Cluster provides a delightful textural finish, featuring bourbon vanilla ice cream rolled in toasted almonds and drizzled with caramel.
